Toowoomba driver Will Brown was given a rockstar entrance to Wellcamp Airport for the launch of the 2024 Red Bull Ampol Racing livery on Saturday.

Brown and fellow Red Bull Ampol Racing teammate Broc Feeney were left blown away by the incredible turnout as thousands of fans checked in to see the new livery and the stunt show from Red Bull pilot Matt Hall.

“The turnout has been crazy, we did not expect this,” Brown said.

“It has just been an awesome day and thanks to everyone from Toowoomba for getting behind us.

“I am sure people have come from far and wide as well but it was just an awesome day.”

Brown is set to embark on his first season with Triple Eight, after making the switch from Erebus Motorsport and the 25-year-old is excited for life with his new team alongside fellow young gun Feeney.

“It was surreal for me to get signed with Red Bull,” he said.

“It has been so cool to watch it and to be with Red Bull Ampol Racing this year is phenomenal and to see this many people turn up to support me has been awesome.

“We have already done a shakedown which is a day down at QR (Queensland Raceway) testing, we had a great day together, already pushing each other, it will be a good year.”

Brown was hopeful the event in his hometown would help inspire future generations of Toowoomba drivers to follow in his footsteps as he also visited his old school – Toowoomba Grammar School – in the lead-up to the season launch.

“To be joining the biggest team in Australian motorsport and then also being from Toowoomba, a smaller country town, hopefully that is inspirational for a few young drivers to take the path I did,” he said.

For Red Bull Ampol Racing team principal Jamie Whincup, the livery launch could not have been a better way to kickstart 2024.

“It has been a fantastic turnout, I cannot thank everyone enough for coming out and supporting us and supporting Supercars in general,” he said.

“It was important for us to make sure we launched well in 2024, the start of a new Red Bull partnership and of course a new driver line-up and to have Will on board alongside Broc is fantastic for us.

“I cant think of a younger, more exciting driver combination than those two heading into this year, we will make sure we give them the best cars on the grid then it is going to be up to them to showcase what we can do.”
