Players set for quarters

EIGHT men and eight women remain in the 2019 Hooper Accountants Toowoomba International as the tournament heads towards weekend finals.

TWO top-ranked Australian women have progressed to tomorrow's Hooper Accountants Toowoomba International quarterfinals while the tournament second seed has fallen by the wayside.

Top seed Maddison Inglis wapped up another straight sets' win today at Toowoomba Regional Tennis Centre - USQ with a 6-2, 6-3 effort over Japan's Chihiro Muramatsu while Olivia Rogowska (3) got the better of fellow Australian Sarah Tomic 6-3, 3-6, 7-6.

But the news wasn't so good for second seed Destanee Aiava who went down in a centre court marathon 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 to Victoria's Belinda Woolcock.

The match lasted 3 hours and 19 minutes.

Sweeny was defeated in an intense second round encounter 6-3, 6-4 by Frenchman Alexis Mustalek.

Number two seed Harry Bourchier continued on in impressive style today.

The Australian defeated countryman Moerani Bouzige 6-1, 6-2.

Bourchier meets Victorian Jacob Grills (6) tomorrow after he eliminated Will Maher today 7-5, 6-1.

# THE Regional Corporate Challenge will be played at the USQ tennis centre tomorrow night from 6pm.

# AUSSIE women's tennis star Casey Dellacqua will visit Toowoomba Anglican School at 1.30pm tomorrow to meet with the players who have made it to the Regional Finals for the Brisbane International Schools Challenge.
