The West Adelaide Bearcats have certainly shown their claws during the Under-18 Club Championships, but the return of a budding superstar could lop them off at the paw.

In a rematch from Thursday’s action, the Bearcats will go head-to-head with Cockburn Cougars in the girls quarter-finals.

It is the only play-off action on Court 2 on Friday.

While the Cougars struggled to match it with their SA rivals on Thursday, they will be hoping star playmaker Amelia Corasantiti can make her return to the court in time for the finals.

The NBL1 West young gun was a mysterious absence from Thursday’s game.

The Bearcats have been impressive in their unbeaten run through the tournament, looking to plenty of scoring options on the floor including Coco Hodges, Ebony Mack and Sophie Barker.

The kids from the Binar Futures program will open a big day of action on court two on Friday.

While the results haven’t quite backed up the passion and excitement of the kids in the Binar sides, they have been a brilliant addition to a big tournament in Perth.
