The Western Clydesdales have kicked off their BMD Premiership season in perfect fashion.
At home to CQ Capras the Clydesdales gave their fans plenty to cheer about with a 22-18 win.
Ali Brigginshaw wrote her name into the history books with the Clydesdales first try just six minutes into the match.
The Clydesdales had all the early running and were up 18-0 inside the half-hour through tries to Jessikah Reeves and Keeley Davis.
Dally M Women’s medallist Tamika Upton pulled the strings in a late Capras fightback but the Clydesdales held on a for memorable win.
The Western Clydesdales Hostplus Cup side faced a tough CQ Capras side and had their backs to the wall down 18-0 at half time.
However, the Clydesdales men fought back in the second half and were within 12 points in the dying stages of the match before the Capras scored one final try to seal a 28-10 win.
