More than a few tinnies have been “lifted” in Shenae Ciesiolka’s honour.
The Western Clydesdales and Queensland Maroons flyer has wowed countless fans with her exploits on the footy field.
Now those same fans can pay a special tribute to Ciesiolka with the help of XXXX.
Representing the 4401 postcode, the home of her beloved Oakey Bears, Ciesiolka is the new XXXX Gold Pride In Origin ambassador.
Ciesiolka joins Brisbane Broncos star Pat Carrigan as one of the faces supporting the campaign as XXXX’s limited-edition cans that feature a number from 0-9 that can be used to make up one of Queensland’s 447 postcodes return to shelves for a second year.
“It’s exciting to have a brand like XXXX supporting Queenslanders beyond the sponsorship with the Queensland Maroons,” Carrigan said.
“Bringing back the XXXX cans for a second year is great for all the fans at home to really feel like they are part of the Origin series.
“Knowing we have the support of the entire state cheering us on with a XXXX tin in hand is only going to lead us into another victory.”
The campaign is part of the beer company’s continued support of another iconic Sunshine State brand – the Queensland Maroons.
“Through XXXX’s ongoing sponsorship with the Queensland Maroons, our brand has had the incredible ability to become an integral part of State of Origin celebrations,” Lions head of marketing – Core Beer Chris Allan said.
“Last year, the postcode cans were immensely popular, and we saw thousands of Queenslanders proudly donning their postcode to represent hometown pride.
“That’s why we decided to bring the cans back.”
