League fans across the Darling Downs were treated to an absolute football feast over the weekend with big scores dominating the TRL fixture list.

With round 9 wrapped up here’s our look at the top players from the weekend.

Jarrod Dwyer (Goondiwindi A-grade), Mitchell Wilson (Wattles A-grade), Matthew Christensen (Wattles A-grade), Jacob Edwards (Oakey A-grade), Jake Speed (Warwick A-grade), Lachlan Fanning (Highfields A-grade), Kade Warren (Pittsworth A-grade), Damien Burrows (Gatton A-grade), Thomas Duggan (Wattles Reserves), Warren Draper (Souths Reserves), Mitchell Matheson (Souths Reserves), Yarran Willis-Duncan (Valleys Reserves), Jake Johnston (Pittsworth Reserves), Morgan Prentice (Highfields Women), Ethan Facer (Pittsworth U19s), Clay Dempsey (Pittsworth U19s) and Natalia Webb (Valleys Women) all scored doubles for their teams at the weekend.

10. Reagan McMillan (Highfields Women)

The Eagles centre kept pace with women’s division leading try scorer and teammate Kelsie Price at the weekend.

McMillan picked up a double in her side’s 58-0 win over Brothers taking her season tally to eight.

9. Kelsie Price (Highfields Women)

Price climbed to the top of the try scorer’s list at the weekend.

The Eagles five-eighth, who now has nine tries this season, scored a double against Brothers.

8. Zoe Cook (Valleys Women)

Cook was ultimately the difference in Valleys’ clash with Newtown.

With both teams scoring four tries each, Cook’s radar like boot secured a 24-18 win for the Roosters.

The goalkicking prop nailed all four of her conversion attempts.

7. Tye Gardner (Wattles A-grade)

Gardner capped off his comeback game in memorable fashion at the weekend.

Coming off the bench after a long injury lay-off, Gardner scored a try in the 73rd minute of Wattles 36-22 win over Goondiwindi.

6. Shaun Elara (Highfields U19s)

Elara did everything he possibly could to drag his team to victory at the weekend.

The hard-running second row scored twice in his side’s 12-0 loss to Brothers.

5. Lucy Davis (Highfields Women)

Davis had a day out against Brothers scoring three tries while playing at centre.

4. Connor Williams (Souths A-grade)

Williams clawed out an impressive stat line in the Tigers 38-14 win over Oakey Bears.

The Souths centre scored a hat-trick in his side’s convincing win.

3. Leonard Thomas (Gatton A-grade)

Thomas scored nearly half Gatton’s points in their 36-22 win against Pittsworth.

The Hawks second row recorded 14 points after scoring a try and kicking five conversions.

2. Patrick Nolan (Gatton U19s)

The hard-running prop barged over for a hat-trick in his side’s 42-34 win against Pittsworth.

1. Josh Sankey (Dalby U19s)

Dalby recorded a massive 56-4 win over Warwick Cowboys at the weekend and Sankey was in the thick of the action.

The Diehards five-eighth scored four tries and kicked eight conversions in the lopsided win.
