Some of Toowoomba’s best young basketball guns were in action over the weekend with the Toowoomba Mountaineers under-18 rep sides taking to the court.
The Mountaineers Division 2 girls bounced back from a rough start to the season, winning both of their games in their double-header against the Moreton Bay Suns and the Ipswich Force.
However, the two boys’ sides could not replicate that success as both the Division 3 and 4 teams suffered disappointing defeats.
The Division 3 Toowoomba Mountaineers lost in their clashes with the Logan Thunder and the Gold Coast Waves, while the Division 4 boys had a difficult weekend, suffering a 75-105 defeat to the North Gold Coast Seahawks and a 54-88 defeat to the Eastside Knights.
