All Abilities touch footballers ready to shine for Toowoomba Twisters

A new group of touch footballers are ready to shine. Here’s our look at every Toowoomba Twisters player and their team mentors set to make their mark on the representative stage.

Toowoomba has long been considered as a hotbed of touch football talent.

From the Kearneys Spring Sports Complex to the international stage, the Garden City has produced some true touch football legends.

The Toowoomba Twisters have played a huge role in the development of those stars – offering players the chance to line-up for city on the representative stage.

In recent years Toowoomba Touch Association has invested heavily in developing its Inclusion-All Abilities programs to create more opportunities for players.

Here’s our look at the latest cohort of players named in Twisters Inclusion squads.

Sports Ed’s note: NC denotes non-certified players. These players act as on-field mentors and guides for the Inclusion-All Abilities in action.

Inclusion White

Luke Betts: The club captain is an incredible leader and role model who plays with vision and skill.

Ben Glasby: A serial try scorer known for his speed in attack and defence. Ben is a formidable opponent.

Braydon Callow: A new addition to the team, Braydon is all about positive talk and has already established himself as a brick wall in defence.

Chenoa Moore: A young star with speed and agility, who loves to make meters straight up the middle.

Warren Till: Another speedster whose wraps and switches to create holes and opportunities for his teammates.

Mitch Toohey: The entertainer in the team, Mitch likes to finish in style and has a great cut out pass.

Jimmy Laffy: A bulldozer in attack who is also known for his draw and pass abilities and is building his defensive skills.

Jon Davenport: The team’s secret weapon is so light on his feet he deceptively glides through holes.

Brendan Spencer (NC): A long-term player who knows his teammates and how to get the.

best out of them.

Lachie Tranter (NC): New to the team, Lachie’s speed and ball skills will be a big asset.

Hayden Stephson (NC): Hayden’s experience and knowledge of the game gives depth to the team.

Inclusion Blue

Charlie Bragg: His motto is team before self and he puts his body on the line every time.

Katie Marshall: A great communicator who keeps the defence line strong and attack organised.

Stuart Flynn: A quiet achiever who is quickly developing into a promising attacker and will be one to watch in the future.

Fraser Wiedman: A fantastic communicator who hits the ball at speed and drives it towards the line.

Alex Meldrum: Great in cover defence and has fast feet in attack. Alex confuses opposition defenders when he has the ball in his hands.

Rosie Scarlett: Whether it’s a dump and split or a dummy Rosie often catches the defence off-side.

Jacob Reed: ‘Speedy Reedy’ is all about team spirit, but give him an inch and he’s hard to catch.

Braydon Lack: Known as the party man off the field, he’s all about safe hands and passes on the field.

Olivia Swain: Cool, calm and collected Olivia has steely determination and a great ruck.

Man Payungwang: Man is the smiling assassin, who can run all day, he’ll be there until the end.

Dalton Dyson-Holland: One of the youngest players in the program, Dalton is a quick learner with a great attitude who will go far.

Jenny Webster (NC): A long term footballer, this lady brings a bag of experience and a supporting hand to the group.

Ryder Robinson (NC): Ryder is a wise head on young shoulders, who knows how to let others shine on the field.

Inclusion Navy

James Duncan: With safe hands and speed to burn, James is always ready to make his mark on the game.

Jason Driscoll: A workhorse who leads from the front and encourages his younger teammates.

Bayley Ferris: Ever-consistent, Bayley’s passion for the game is second to none, he lives and breathes it.

Caitlin Mortlock: A fierce competitor and team player who the younger players look up to.

Josh Kelly: Coming off the back of winning best and fairest in Canberra, he is full of confidence and determination.

Seth Bond: With a nice step and a strong drive, Seth often outsmarts the opposition.

Dominic Hanssen: The young Sam Walker look-alike is showing the same ball skills and positive attitude of the NRL gun.

Joel Kwafimbi: A man of few words, Joel has a heart of gold and reads the game like a pro.

Lachlan Moule: Always looking to improve, he gives 100 perfect and is dogged in defence.

Ryan Henry: A country boy from Augathella who loves his footy and is proud to wear the Twisters uniform.

Annika Halliday: A Twisters debutante this year, Annika is a pocket rocket who means business whenever she steps onto the field.

Mia Hanssen (NC): Dedicated to the team, Mia is a rock of support and help to her teammates.

Tammlynn Kimmpton (NC): Passionate and keen to win, Tammlynn knows how to motivate her team.
