A luxurious seven-bedroom mansion on the outskirts of Toowoomba looks to have shattered the local record for the most expensive residential property, after it was bought for a whopping $4.265m.
The amazing property on Oakhill Place at Preston was sold in March through Webster Cavanagh before settling late last month.
It sports scenic views of the Lockyer Valley as well as incredible features like a pool, tennis court, wine cellar, multiple entertainment spaces, gym and guest wings.
It is understood the buyers are farmers from southwest Queensland.
The result is believed to be the most anyone has paid for a residential property in the wider Toowoomba urban area.
Writing in the online listing, lead agent Andrew Webster said the home was an “exceptional lifestyle offering”.
“Perched high on the escarpment, less than 10km to the Toowoomba CBD, this outstanding residential estate represents an exceptional lifestyle offering rarely available in the Toowoomba market,” he wrote.
“Set on almost five acres, and with an additional 149.3 acres available for purchase, this beautiful home is incredibly private, seamlessly combining contemporary architecture with the history and warmth of recycled timbers from the Old Mackay Sugar Mill and Teneriffe Woolstores.
“Bathed with natural light and enjoying panoramic views over the landscaped grounds to the valley beyond, this wonderful property offers sophisticated luxury for those seeking a private sanctuary to entertain family and friends, or simply escape the hustle and bustle.”
All property details were obtained from RP Data.
