The nightclub business operating from the building is currently for sale.

The agent selling the nightclub leasehold, Jessie Allen, told the Sunshine Coast Daily in May there had been strong interest including from Queensland club owners.

The legendary venue once famously ejected two members of U2’s entourage for wearing the wrong shoes to the club.

Ms Allen said last month that significant renovations had taken place in the club last year and included new bathrooms, flooring and more dancefloor room in the DJ area.

Online, the leasehold remains for sale or lease by negotiation for more than $750,000.

Forde Property Commercial, which sold the building and is also selling the business, has been contacted for comment.

Attempts have also been made to contact Mr Wright.
