RAIN continues to fall on Toowoomba this morning, confirming a wetter than average October for the city.
Close to 85mm of rain has fallen on the city this month, which is still well short of the October rainfall record set in 1972 when 234mm bucketed down.
There have only been five days this month when rain hasn't fallen on Toowoomba.
The wettest day was Tuesday, October 3.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Harry Clark said while Toowoomba's October had "definitely been unusually wet", the monthly rain record was still "a long way off".
"It's been really persistent (rain) but it hasn't been too heavy," Mr Clark said.
Mr Clark said showers should ease back tomorrow and Friday before a new upper system moved across on Saturday bringing heavy rainfalls again.
