Finding the perfect fit of clothes and shoes has always been a struggle for Bayley Stanton, 17, and his loving mum Jackie Baxter.

The Year 12 student from Clifford Park Special School is just one inch off being seven-feet tall, standing at 210cm and taking a size 19 in shoes.

When the time came to find the young gentleman an outfit for his school formal, the family was at a loss and sought help from the Project School Formal team.

The initiative, which was founded by Gay Hold, has been helping make the dream of high school graduates come true for the past eight years.

Offering their services in Toowoomba, as well as Roma, Tara, Chinchilla, Miles, Oakey, Warwick and beyond, the team takes away the stress and costs involved with formal shopping by providing students with outfits for free.

Unable to source an outfit in suitable sizing for Bayley, the team put out a call, and for the first time in the project’s history, one anonymous donor supplied the entire outfit for the teen.

“We were very lucky to get all of this for free,” Bayley said.

“I found a photo of John Wick and wanted to look like him, so I asked for a black suit.”

In addition to the suit, shirt, tie, shoes and bamboo socks, the donor also gifted Bayley with a special pair of game controller cufflinks.

Bayley, who loves to play video games, plans to apply for a job at a Toowoomba EB Games store next year.

He is looking forward to arriving in style at the formal on November 23, in a Dodge Ram car.
