Townsville traffic accidents: Seven injured in two vehicle crashes

Seven people have been injured in two separate vehicle accidents in Townsville in the space of an hour on Sunday morning.

Seven people have been injured in two separate vehicle accidents in Townsville in the space of an hour on Sunday morning.

In the first incident in Hyde Park, six people were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Kings and Bayswater roads at 10.26pm.

Queensland Ambulance Service classified the victims as “walking wounded”.

Five were transported to Townsville University Hospital and one to Kirwan Health Campus in stable conditions.

Queensland Police Service are investigating.

In the second incident a little over an hour later, a teenager suffered “significant arm injuries” in a motorcycle crash on Diamantina Street at 11.43am.

The male, aged 16, was taken to TUH in a stable condition.
