Picking the right concert outfit is a conundrum as old as time - you need to dress up, but nothing fancy, and it has to match the vibe, but what is the vibe?
For those of you a little lost about what to wear to the double-header P!nk concerts, we’ve got you covered.
P!nk is known for being a rock-inspired pop singer, and she’s never been afraid to push the limits in her clothing - bedazzled denim overalls, all black leather, hoodies and chains, elegant silks, singlets with a Mad Max-esque execution and... well, who can forget the 2000 VMAs?
Townsville Shopping Centre (previously Stocklands) raided their clothing stores to create six different concert outfits for those searching for inspiration.
Centre manager Kelly Taylor-Smith said storeholders are seeing a lot of people coming in for a bit of “good old-fashioned retail therapy” in the lead up to the concerts.
“We’re seeing people come in for those unique concert outfit pieces like the sparkles and the
hot pink, but also for the pieces to tie it all together,” Ms Taylor-Smith said.
“Particularly from the brands they can’t get anywhere else in North Queensland like Country Road, Mimco, Universal Store and of course our Myer offers like Kenji and Review.”
The outfits modelled by Townsville Shopping Centre were styled from clothing from City Chic, Betts, Factorie, Sportsgirl, Forever New and Discount Jeans.
Townsville Shopping Centre is going all-in on P!nk fever, painting stores pink, making a P!nk playlist for the weekend and running free activities to “help locals and visitors get concert ready”.
This includes a free bracelet and bag making workshop running 10am to 2pm Friday and Saturday.
Note that if you plan to bring a bag to the concerts, it needs to be smaller than an A4 piece of paper.
The stadium is also warning people umbrellas are not allowed.
