Police investigate as two mystery stabbings rock Mount Louisa

Residents in Mount Louisa have been left shaken after two men with stab wounds were found just streets apart on the same morning, as police investigate if the bloody attacks are linked.

Police are investigating two stabbings on Bayswater Rd and Christian Court in Mount Louisa.

Residents in Mount Louisa have been left shaken after two men with stab wounds were found just streets apart on the same morning, as police investigate if the bloody attacks are linked.

The chaos began at 3.20am on Wednesday when emergency crews rushed to Bayswater Rd, Mount Louisa, where a man in his 40s was found with a serious chest wound.

Paramedics treated him on scene before rushing him to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.

Police have declared a crime scene at the Bayswater Road address.

Less than two hours later, at 5.08am, another emergency call sent paramedics racing to a private address on Christian Court.

A man in his 30s was found with a leg laceration, only a few streets away

from the first crime scene. He was also taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Townsville police said they believe the incidents may be linked and are investigating.

No arrests have been made at this stage and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
