UPDATE: Tensions between feuding families in Townsville have erupted again, as groups clashed on the streets overnight and left a trail of damaged cars in their wake.

Police responded to reports of a group of people damaging several cars parked outside a home on Bridge St, Rasmussen, at 6.40pm on Tuesday.

The group continued on Stella St, Kelso where two more cars were damaged shortly after.

A video has since emerged online showing a group of people descending on a street in Rasmussen, damaging a red, black and white car parked outside someone’s home.

It’s understood an ongoing feud between local families is what’s sparked these incidents.

Sources say some of those involved in Tuesday’s brawl travelled into town from remote communities, seeking retaliation after Sunday’s massive brawl at Apex Park.

Concerned members of the community say they are worried these latest incidents will only escalate the situation and lead to the arrival of more out-of-towners looking to retaliate.

Police said all matters are still under investigation. No charges have been laid at this stage.

It’s understood an ongoing feud between local families sparked the brawl.

With the matter still not resolved, concerned members of the community say they are worried the violence may only continue.
