An event mixing DJ’s, circus acts and pole dancing is set to take over Townsville’s music scene.
JOYN US are holding their latest event ‘Techno Loop’ at Otherwise Bar, Flinders Street on May 31.
Following a sellout event ‘Heart Techno’ earlier this year, ‘Techno Loop’ will feature a line-up of DJs including local talent Reef Siren and Melo, interstate special guests Luke King and Aaron King, Argentine DJ Fran Nastri, accompanied by professional pole dancers from The Pole Park and a live performance by circus artist Kara Enigma.
A portion of ticket sales will be donated to local organisation Happy Feat Townsville, an not-for-profit dance group for people with special needs and ‘differing’ abilities of all ages.
For DJ Fran Nastri, it will be his first performance in North Queensland, with music already taking him around the world to places such as Mexico, Miami and parts of Australia.
Born in Cordoba, Argentina, he said he can’t wait to share his love of techno music with a new audience.
“Townsville has such an incredible energy, and I cannot wait to deliver something new to its night-life scene,” he said.
“It’s certainly a privilege to not only perform here, but alongside such an amazing line-up of DJs and performers.”
Joining the DJs will be professional pole dancers from Townsville’s The Pole Park and circus artist Kara Enigma, founder of Hoopnosis.
Owner of The Pole Park Bailey Hart said she is excited to put on a captivating show at Techno Loop.
Manager of JOYN US Helen Smyth said this even will be ‘even bigger than our last’.
“No matter if you’re new to techno or it’s always been your vibe, everyone is welcome in our techno space,” she said.
Pre-sale tickets are available now starting from $15 at www.joynusevents.com or tickets can be purchased at the event on the door at Otherwise Bar subject to availability.
