Toowoomba child hospitalised after becoming trapped on travelator

A little girl has been injured in a distressing accident where she become trapped on a travelator in the Toowoomba CBD.

A young child has been taken to hospital after becoming trapped on a travelator in a freak accident.

Emergency services attended the scene of a trauma incident in the Toowoomba CBD on Friday night, where a young child became trapped on a travelator.

Paramedics from Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed a child was assessed at a Margaret Street location at 8.15pm on Friday, after she became caught between a travelator and a glass panel.

The young child, under the age of 10, was transported to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition with minor leg injuries.
