Where to find a Rapid Antigen Test in Toowoomba

RATs are in high demand in the Toowoomba region. Here’s all you need to know about where and how you can access them.

The demand for Rapid Antigen Tests is soaring across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs.

Darling Downs residents are in luck, with large shipments of rapid antigen tests entering the town over the past several days.

Multiple stores are reportedly in stock of RATs, with several selling both individual and packs of five to both concession and non-concession holders.

Guardian Pharmacy in Gatton currently has both stock available, while Pharmacy 4 Less in Toowoomba’s CBD is selling the packs of five for $70.

Many stores recommend people come in as soon as possible, as they are not able to set tests aside.

Meanwhile, despite a lack of rapid antigen tests in stock in many other local stores, Darling Downs Health staff have said residents are still arriving at various testing facilities across the district to receive a RAT or PCR test.

The total number of active cases in the region continues to drop, with Darling Downs Health predicting the region has already hit its peak of Covid-19 cases.

RAT STOCKS: AsToowoomba and Queensland experience an unprecedented rise in Covid-19 case numbers, there has been an enormous surge in demand for Rapid Antigen Tests from businesses in and near the Garden City.

The home Covid tests have been flying off the shelves, with many businesses sold out within a day of restocking.
