Elderly man injured after car hits mobility scooter
A man in his 80s has been hopsitalised after his mobility scooter and a car collided in a small town in southwest Queensland.
The incident was reported on Kenny Lane in St George, about six hours west of Toowoomba, on Sunday at 9.45am.
The elderly man was treated for minor leg injuries and taken St George Hospital in a stable condition.

No hospital visits after two-vehicle crash
No hospitalisations were required from a two-vehicle crash on a busy Toowoomba intersection, despite the heavy presence of emergency services at the scene.
Paramedics and fire crews were called on Saturday just after 11pm to the incident on the James-Hume Street intersection.
While the occupants were assessed on-site, ambulances didn’t take anyone to hospital.
Teen injured in Toowoomba collision
A teenager is in hospital with injuries after he was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Rangeville on Saturday night.
The incident on Leslie Street was reported to emergency services at 6.42pm.
The teenage boy was treated for a leg injury and taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
Man rushed to hospital after Lockyer crash
A man has been taken to hospital after his car crashed along the Warrego Highway east of Toowoomba on Friday night.
Emergency services were alerted to incident about 7pm at Grantham in the Lockyer Valley.
Paramedics treated the man in his 40s at the scene and he was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
Bushfire risk lowered in Forest Ridge
The threat level of a bushfire raging in a small community southwest of Toowoomba has been lowered by authorities, but residents have still been told to stay informed on changes to the situation.
The bushfire at Forest Ridge, near Millmerran, is still burning between Rosemary Court and Basil Drive and was considered a threat to properties on Friday night.
But the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service reduced the warning level from “watch and act” at 7pm to “advice” about 11pm.
