COVID-19 has put a serious dent in the number of events available for dads to enjoy this Father's Day.

But there's still plenty to do if sitting at home isn't up your alley.

1. Royal Bull's Head Inn Father's Day Open Day

IT'S a trip back in time the whole family can enjoy.

The 161-year-old Royal Bull's Head Inn throws open its doors this Sunday from 10am to 4pm, allowing the public to enjoy exploring this beautiful heritage building.

The day is full of history and a little mystery, and everyone, including the kids will find something interesting.

The building and grounds will be open for viewing and all fathers will receive free refreshments.

The inn has a COVID-safe plan and volunteers will be on hand on the day.

Entry is $5 for children or concessions, $7 for adults, and $20 for families.

National Trust members can enter for free.

2. Father's Day at the museum

Cobb and Co Museum is open for Father’s Day.

THE Cobb and Co Museum has planned a day of fun so you don't have to this Father's Day.

Cobb's Coffee Shop will be trading from 8am to 3pm, so book a table or pre-order a hamper and enjoy it in Queens Park after a short stroll through the museum.

There's a Father's Day breakfast special for $14.90, or you can pre-order a takeaway picnic hamper for $29.95 which includes fresh sandwiches, a mini ploughman's platter, and two drinks.

There's also Devonshire tea for two, live demonstrations from artist Bela Grof, blacksmithing demonstrations, and more.

3. Have a picnic in one of the region's beautiful parks

Carnival of Flowers 2019: Queens Park.

COVID-19 might have cancelled most events but that can't stop you taking dad out for a picnic in one of the region's stunning parks.

Queens Park is an obvious choice, but Newtown Park and Laurel Bank Park are equally as lovely as the spring flowers bloom.

4. Memorial Service

IT'S a day to celebrate our dads, but also a time to remember those who are no longer with us.

The Toowoomba Garden of Remembrance is live streaming its Father's Day Memorial Service.

The service will take place from 10am on Father's Day - "to remember and celebrate the special men, who helped shape our lives, supported us and lifted us up - our fathers, grandfathers and dads both past and present".
