Rumours International was a flurry of excitement with businessmen and women dressed to the nines in celebration of their unwavering contributions to the region’s economy.
The Little Pig Consulting Business Excellence Awards held on Saturday showcased Toowoomba’s diverse and dedicated business community with awards across 14 categories.
The event also stood to celebrate the region’s innovators, leaders and achievers.
Chamber of Commerce president Myf Rigby said despite cost of living pressures and rapid economic changes, businesses in the region had stood resilient.
“While all businesses are finding economic conditions are changing and some are becoming quite tough, businesses are finding ways to adapt and build resilience,” she said.
“That’s certainly where the (Toowoomba) chamber brings businesses together to help them work collaboratively and find those solutions.”
Ms Rigby said uniting businesses through networking opportunities was a simple way for them to connect and talk through solutions.
“If we can all work together it will be better for Toowoomba’s economy as a whole.”
Little Pig Consulting director Clayton Menyweather said in a statement the spectacular evening demonstrated the immense talent in the city and broader region.
“I was impressed by the variety of winners and enjoyed connecting with others in the business community and celebrating with the many excellent local businesses in attendance,” he said.
“I am very proud to be part of the Toowoomba business community and the Business Excellence Awards.”
