Toowoomba residents have quickly shifted to the new normal of mask wearing as Easter church services began for Good Friday.

In what was sure to be a relief for our churches, services were allowed to go on ahead as planned yesterday, and across the remainder of the Easter weekend.
Services are allowed 100 per cent occupancy with ticketed and allocated seating, or they have adhere to the one per two square metre rule.
Masks aren’t the only restrictions placed on Queensland residents until April 15.
Gatherings will be restricted to 30 people in homes, while up to 500 people can gather outside in public spaces.
Outdoor events with more than 500 people can proceed with a COVID safe plan.
Restrictions on aged care, hospitals, disability care and correctional facilities will apply with no personal visitors allowed during this period except for end-of-life visits.
