An event to raise vital funds for the Toowoomba Hospice is seeking more participants before it kicks off on July 17.
The Hoof It For Hospice Care fundraiser is the brainchild of Hospice Management Committee member Ray Pern, and the committee is looking for six more teams to join in.
Volunteer Greg Johnson said he didn’t have to think twice about lending a hand with the fundraiser.
“The idea is to have people walking for a period of four hours around a circular athletics track,” Mr Johnson said.
“We are hoping to acquire at least more six teams for the event, each team will have two people walking in 30-minute timeslots, but if they are feeling fit then they can decide what they want to do.
“Some teams may go clockwise, some might decide the other way, but the idea is to make it fun.
“Teams can dress in costumes if they so desire, and suitable music will be piped out onto the track to keep them walking/strolling or jogging along.”
