Much-anticipated Highfields Aldi set to open on Saturday, December 12

The Toowoomba region’s newest Aldi store is set to open soon. Here’s everything you need to know.

The new Aldi store at Highfields will open its doors to the public this Saturday, December 12.

In advertisements sent around the region, Aldi revealed a number of special buys just for the opening, including avocados for $1.49, as well as carrots, mangoes, bananas and onions for 99c/kg.

The much-anticipated store will be open from 8am to 6pm on opening day, its regular Saturday hours.

The store will then be open from 8.30am to 8pm on Monday to Fridays, and 9am to 6pm on Sundays.

It will employee about 15-20 full and part-time employees.

The new store, located at 73 Highfields Rd, was approved by the Toowoomba Regional Council in December 2017 and spent months in the planning phase.
