Masks selling fast as supermarket panic buying continues across Toowoomba
Masks are still in short supply across Toowoomba, as some supermarkets have reported an influx of customers buying essential items. Here’s where you can still buy masks.

Panic buying in certain supermarkets has reportedly started to set in, as Toowoomba residents continue to buy masks to meet the new statewide mask mandate due to an outbreak of COVID-19.
Several pharmacies have again reported selling out of masks late on Tuesday and have ordered more stock to arrive later this week.
The Toowoomba Day and Night Pharmacy reportedly sold out at 8pm and have had to turn people away, pending a new shipment.
The Malouf Pharmacy at Wyalla Plaza has also run out of masks to sell, but has plenty available for customers who walk in without one.
Major retailer Chemist Warehouse sold out of masks this morning but has another shipment on the way, while Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse has some stock available.
Likewise, Toowoomba Central Discount Drug Store has single-use masks on the shelves, but they are also selling out fast.
The Range Pharmacy currently has mask supplies for about 100 people.
Discount shops may also have masks for sale, depending on demand for stock.
Meanwhile, supermarkets are reportedly experiencing a larger volume of shoppers, including the Coles at Northpoint and Drakes at Rangeville.
The IGA at the Hooper Centre has also had some bare shelves, but that has also been attributing to issues with ordering stock.
It comes as one patient is currently in Toowoomba Hospital with COVID-19.
