There have been a lot of changes statewide due to the Greater Brisbane lockdown, leaving plenty scratching their heads about what they can and can’t do.

Here are some of your key questions about the lockdown answered.

Do I need to carry a mask with me at all times?

In all areas of Queensland you must carry a face mask with you at all times when you leave home, unless you have a lawful reason not to.

Outside Greater Brisbane, masks must be worn indoors, where social distancing is not possible, and on public transport.

Who should get tested?

Anyone with flu-like symptoms.

Symptoms include fever, dry cough, tiredness, aches and pains, sore throat, or loss of sense of taste or smell.

Who should be staying home?

Anyone who has visited the greater Brisbane area since March 20 should remain at home until 5pm on Thursday, April 1.

If I’m in lockdown, for what reasons can I leave home?

For essential work, to get vaccinated for COVID-19 if you have an existing appointment, to get groceries, to get healthcare for yourself or a vulnerable person or to exercise.

Can I visit an aged care home or a hospital?

No.

Personal visitors will not be allowed in aged care, hospitals, disability care and correctional facilities throughout Queensland, according to health authorities, and there will be increased PPE requirements.
