A pair of Toowoomba twins are celebrating another milestone together, after having their babies mere months apart.
Carly Fowler welcomed her baby Liam in August 2020 at Toowoomba Hospital, while her sister, Lauren Hess, had her baby Lacey at the same hospital on Australia Day 2021.
The pair are now looking forward to plenty of play dates.
“Carly and I always thought it would be great to have our babies close together because we’re twins and best friends,” Ms Hess said.
“It was a dream to be able to go through this journey with her,” Ms Fowler said.
The twins were both supported during their pregnancies by My Midwives Toowoomba director Ros Beard, who was by their side when the babies were born.
“It was priceless and I was honoured to be a part of it,” Ms Beard said.
The sisters said Ms Beard’s support had helped grow them as parents.
“I felt like the support we had, especially in the post-natal period, was invaluable – Ros was a big comfort to both of us,” Ms Fowler said.
