Gold’s Gym celebrates grand opening of Toowoomba facility
A world-famous gym that helped pioneer the fitness industry in the 1970s is opening its doors in Toowoomba and you can get in on the grand opening celebrations and support people in need as well.

A GYM that championed the global fitness industry in the 1970s has made its way to Toowoomba and residents are being urged to make it their own.
Gold’s Gym has been operating at the old Clifford Garden Aldi complex for a few months, but the brand Arnold Schwarzenegger helped make famous will celebrate its Garden City grand opening this Saturday.
“We’re super excited to be celebrating our grand opening this Saturday,” Gold’s Gym Toowoomba general manager Shannon Fagan said.
“Everyone can train for free on the day, so we’re encouraging the entire Toowoomba to come and experience our state-of-the-art facilities.
“We are the first Gold’s Gym in Queensland and we’re all about creating a positive community and experience for members in the gym.
”We’ve gone above and beyond to make sure we cater for every type of gym goer.
“For the mums with have child minding, for first time gym goers we include a complimentary consultation and program, we offer 27 live group classes and unlimited virtual classes, and a lifting platform with six stations.
The gym will mark their opening with a number of fun events for kids and adults with donations from the day supporting Yellowbridge Haven.
