A man has suffered a significant head injury after a crash on a major Toowoomba highway this morning.

A cyclist is in a serious condition after he was hit by a vehicle on the New England Highway earlier today.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man sustained a ‘significant’ head injury in the collision.
Paramedics stabilised him by the roadside before transporting him to the Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
Initial reports indicate the male cyclist was hit by a vehicle about 7am today, near the intersection of Highfields Rd and the New England Highway.
