Beryl Muller has proven that age really is but a number, and the secret to a long life comes down to faith and an active lifestyle.
The Yukana resident said she barely had a second for a photo to commemorate her 100th birthday, in between bus trips to the shops and back, and a quick round of indoor bowls.
The centenarian celebrated the milestone by looking back at what has been an incredibly rewarding 100 years of life.
Some of the standout memories have been with her husband Stanley, who she married in 1941, and her 11 children, Allison, Gwyneth, Valmai, Eunice, Olwyn, Lynette, Barbara, Keith, David, Rodney, and Phillip.
Ms Muller also recalled her time in Roma, where she met her friend of 80 years and now fellow Yukana resident, Alison.
“Years ago we were out at Roma together,” she said.
“I’d go over to her house to play tennis and we became friends.”
Ms Muller celebrated the milestone among family and friends as well as Mayor Paul Antonio and MP David Janetski
