Thirsty Garden City dwellers need not go without their favourite locally brewed drop any more.
4 Brothers Brewing is back and better than ever, officially opening the doors to its new brewery on Friday.
The journey to turn the former Charcoal Chicken shop on Margaret St into a trendy taphouse has been a 12-month labour of love for the Toowoomba couple, but Adrian Culbit and Josie Adams said they couldn’t be happier with the result.
“I had been on the lookout for a new home for the brewery for about three years before my real estate agent and regular 4 Brothers Brewing customer Justin Eastwell from Colliers told me about this space,” Mr Culbit said.
“We immediately loved how central and open it was. I could see it was going to be a great place for people to meet, enjoy a few beers with friends or lunch and dinner with the whole family.”
4 Brothers celebrated four years in the brewing game in April this year, and in an exciting first for the business the taphouse now offers a range of Euro-inspired eats with a full-time chef on board.
“We’re looking forward to offering customers a wide range of share plates and delicious handheld food options through our new menu,” Ms Adams said.
“They are all items that complement the beer beautifully and can be easily shared and enjoyed among friends and family which is what we want the new brewery space to be all about.”
After several months of planning, renovating and relocating from the former Brook St location into the new Margaret St digs, Mr Culbit said he was looking forward to seeing and serving his regulars again.
“I’ve had people asking me how they can re-fill their growlers while we’ve been closed over the past couple of weeks, and the good news is now you can come and replenish them,” Mr Culbit said.
“We’re officially opening the doors from midday Friday and plan to remain open until late all weekend.”
All the old-favourite brews will be available on tap plus two super secret new creations Mr Culbit has been working on.
“We’re also excited to be offering a selection of guest beers and drinks from other Queensland artisan brewers and distilleries including gin and vodka from Pechey Distillery and a great wine from a local producer from Kingsthorpe called 2nd 2 None Wines,” Ms Adams said.
“We’ve tried to make sure there’s something for everyone, no matter what your top drop is you’ll find your new favourite here.”
