“Winning the ABIA awards not only recognises the success of our past weddings, but also sets the stage for a brighter future,” she said.

“Our venue is a destination wedding venue and we bring over 20,000 visitors to Toowoomba each year.

“To be recognised with this honour puts Gabbinbar firmly on the map as an exceptional destination wedding location.”

The 160 year old homestead in Middle Ridge, hosts approximately 250 weddings every year and is surrounded by longstanding trees, spacious gardens and manicured lawns.

Going up against 21 other venues across the state, Gabbinbar was recognised for its service, grounds, facilities and value for money.

The Toowoomba venue faced off and won against several popular venues including Brisbane’s Victoria Park, Tweed’s Summergrove Estate and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland’s Flaxton Gardens.

Competition was fierce at the awards with all businesses requiring a rating of above 95 per cent to quality as a finalist.

The ABIA Wedding Industry Awards have been running for the past 25 years and are designed to celebrate Australia’s best professionals in the wedding industry.
