A man who stole a police patrol car during a routine traffic stop in Adelaide three years ago, has pleaded guilty, as footage of the incident was released by a judge earlier this week.
41-year-old Sarantris Parissos pleaded guilty in the District Court for stealing the patrol car in front of officers back in December 2021.
The incident occurred on Copley Street at Broadview, with bodycam footage of the incident released showing the confrontation between police and motorcyclist Sarantis Parissos.
Mr Parissos has also admitted mowing down a female police officer in a stolen SUV at Fulham in 2022.
In the footage, obtained by 7News Adelaide, a female officer can be heard instructing a female to stay put and sit down, before she starts yelling at a man running towards her patrol car, before stealing it.
“Get here, stay there, do not move, sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down,” the officer is heard yelling.
“Get the f**k out of the car now.”

A male officer also in pursuit can also be heard yelling at Mr Parissos to “get out of the car”, before sirens start blaring and a struggle ensues between the female officer and one of the suspects.
Shortly after, both Mr Parissos and a female passenger on his motorcycle speed off in the patrol car, with the female officer frantically calling dispatch for backup.
“35 urgent assistance, our vehicle has been taken .. heading east towards Hampstead Road, lights and sirens on,” she said.
“They’ve headed north, Hampstead Road, we need northeast patrols, PolAir.
“35, we’re safe, we’ve both been flung out of the vehicle, male and female both in motorcycle helmets, we have the motorcycle still here.”
After the car is gone, the female officer speaks to her partner, with the pair trying to work out how it all unfolded.
“Is that my bad for leaving the door open,“ the male officer asks.
“It’s no one’s bad, it’s no one’s bad,” the female officer responds.
The pair of officers can be heard discussing what they tried to do to stop the suspects from taking their patrol car.
Mr Sarantis is due to face court again next month, for sentencing submissions for both crimes.
