Man, 29, charged after elderly pedestrian dies in hit-run crash at in Adelaide’s northwestern suburbs
A woman has died after being struck by a car in Adelaide’s northwestern suburbs on Sunday evening.

A man has been charged after an elderly woman was killed in an alleged hit-run crash in Adelaide’s northwestern suburbs.
Emergency services were called to Hanson Rd at Mansfield Park just before 6.30pm after a woman was struck by a Mazda sedan.
The 81-year-old woman from Woodville Gardens died at the scene.
The alleged driver, a 29-year-old man, initially fled the scene but later turned himself in to police.
The man has been charged with failing to stop after a collision and is due to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court next month. The vehicle involved was located and seized.
Major Crash investigators attended the scene and Hanson Rd was closed in both directions for several hours but was reopened just after 11pm.
The woman’s death is the 37th life lost on SA roads this year.
