Dozens of Toowoomba residents descended on the popular gathering ground of Lake Annand at the weekend to show their support for World Environment Day.

Stalls and fun activities kept all ages entertained with performances from Toowoomba Grammar and Downlands students, as well as live music from Indigenous artists Troy Troutman and Liz Connor.

The event is centered around the United Nations themes of the environment, peace, multiculturalism, Indigenous affairs, multifaith and social justice.

UniSQ were also on hand to challenge the community's environmental awareness and perception, and the Save Deongwar State Forest campaign showcased their bid to protect the critical conservation area between Esk and Crows Nest.
