New England Highway both lanes closed after crash at Mt Marshall

A second major thoroughfare has been closed overnight after a single vehicle crash on a busy highway in the state’s south.

A second crash in less than 24 hours near Warwick closed a major highway in both lanes overnight.

A single vehicle crash at Mt Marshall, north of Warwick was reported around 7pm Thursday.

It’s understood both lanes of the New England Highway were closed after the accident.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed one female patient was transported in a stable condition to Warwick Hospital following a the rollover on the highway at 7.10pm.

As of Friday morning it is understood both lanes are open.

The crash comes hours after a horror double fatal shut down the Cunningham Highway at Tregony on Thursday morning.

Two men died and a further six were injured when a vehicle veered into the opposite lane in the early hours.

The road was closed for a police nvestigation, and reopened late on Thursday.
