Police are investigating yet another break and enter at a Gold Coast tobacconist – the fourth business of its type to be targeted in a couple of months.

An unknown number of offenders smashed the front glass doors at Ormeau Vape and Tobacco on Arthur Way about 12am on Monday.

According to police sources the incident is believed to be linked to a wider spree, with a vehicle used by the offenders also spotted during three other break and enters on the same night.

Another tobacconist was targeted at Loganholme and a bottle shop in Mount Warren Park.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the Ormeau break and enter was under investigation and anyone with information or CCTV footage was urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

In September, another tobacconist on nearby Peachey Rd was hit, with a car driven through the front entrance of the business.

The offenders then wrapped a chain around an ATM, dragging it outside the store.

It’s believed they smashed their way into the deposit box and stole cash before fleeing in a ute.

The ram raid caused significant damage.
