Wild footage has emerged of a northern New South Wales man armed with a baseball bat charging towards two young boys on e-bikes, with one screaming “trying to hit little kids are ya?”

In the dramatic video shared with this publication, a middle-aged man is seen holding a bat on a hilltop at a Seaside Dr park near Kingscliff on the Queensland-New South Wales border.

One of the children sitting on his bike, yells “why you got a bat on us? We’re just kids bro.”

“Trying to hit little kids are ya?,” the boy added.

“Why do you have a bat? Nah you’ll f--king whack me with a bat. Put the bat down bruh (sic) I didn’t do anything.”

The man is then seen sprinting full speed at the boys as they rev their bikes to flee the fracas.

One of the boy’s mothers, Lily Ramsay, who provided the video to this publication, was disgusted by what was captured.

“This is of two boys riding in Kingscliff in an EMPTY PUBLIC PARK! An adult man came out with his baseball bat,” she said.

NSW Police have since confirmed an investigation is underway but no charges have been laid.

“At about 7pm on Tuesday, February 11, a 13-year-old boy was riding an e-bike in a park on Seaside Drive, Kingscliff,” a statement reads.

“A man armed with a bat allegedly approached the boy and threatened him.

“The boy left the scene, and no injuries were reported.”

No arrests have been made. The man has not been charged with any wrongdoing.

Police say the matter was reported to Tweed Heads Police the following day and officers will continue to investigate the incident.
