She’s travelled to 52 countries and some of the most luxurious parts of the world and now Sarah Sing has brought beachside chic home to Toowoomba.

The mum of two has opened her luxe day spa Kalm Springs on Union St, offering infra-red sauna, float and LED light therapies.

Inspired by her best friend Kim Glenister, who opened a business with the same name in Casuarina, NSW, and the tropical resorts she has visited, the fit-out includes rendered walls and brass fittings.

“I was visiting Kim once a month and when I used her day spa, I noticed a huge change in my anxiety levels and physically,” Ms Sing said.

“What I’ve created is a real dream. It’s a place where you can lie under the sun with the LED, go sweat on the beach in the sauna and float in the ocean.”

Situated at the top of a flight of stairs, it took the business owner and her builder about nine hours to lift the five-tonne float pods up, using a pulley-system.

Ms Sing said since opening her own spa, she’d met countless women who had never taken the time to treat themselves before and were feeling burnt out.

“Mums and women just always tend to be on to go and they always think about everyone else, so that’s been very rewarding to help them,” she said.

“Every Sunday afternoon I bring my two teenage daughters in and we have a girl’s afternoon together.”

Kalm Springs is at 6 Union St, Toowoomba.
