Warwick police warn residents to remain vigilant after stolen vehicle sightings

Police are on the hunt for a stolen vehicle from the Clifton area which was last sighted in Warwick shortly after the theft.

It is understood the stolen 2006 white Ford Fairlane was taken from a rural property on Free Rd in the early hours on January 19.

The vehicle had been left inside a shed on the property and it’s understood the keys were located by the offender within the vehicle, along with other personal property.

Warwick Police officer-in-charge Jamie Deacon said the vehicle which was bearing the registration 996DS3, was sighted at 2.30am in the Warwick area.

Sergeant Deacon said another stolen vehicle from Toowoomba was spotted in Warwick overnight before it was again sighted returning through Toowoomba about 5am on Monday.

The white Toyota Corolla is believed to be bearing false licence plates 489IV6.

“Stolen vehicle’s driving around in the Warwick area is concerning and we urge residents to report suspicious vehicle’s loitering in their street,” Sergeant Deacon said.

“If you see something unlawful happening call triple-0.”

Warwick police urge anyone with information in relation to either stolen vehicle to contact Policelink on 131 444.
