Police investigating vehicle fire outside Warwick

Police are investigating after a vehicle was located on fire on a rural Southern Downs road. Here’s what we know.

Emergency services were called to what appeared to be a single-vehicle fire in the Southern Downs overnight.

It is understood Queensland police were the first to arrive on scene where officers located a vehicle on fire along Leyburn Cunningham Rd, Pratten just before midnight.

A QPS spokesman said police conducted a search around the vehicle and found no occupants inside or within the area.

Queensland Fire Department crews arrived at around 12.21am and believe the vehicle crashed prior to the fire.

A QFD spokesman said the fire was out by 12.34am and fireys also conducted a sweep of the area and found no occupants.

Queensland Police are investigating the circumstances.
