Two Rose City Shoppingworld businesses have been targeted by opportunistic thieves, months after similar offending occurred at the centre.

Two Rose City Shoppingworld businesses have been targeted by opportunistic offenders amid a long weekend spate of break-ins.

Warwick police confirmed two female fashion outlets were broken into after they had shut about 8pm Friday evening.

The businesses break in comes months after a ‘brazen’ early morning break in at the shopping centre, with a jewellery store being robbed of over $35,000 worth of stock, plus extensive damage to both the shopfront and shopping centre doors.

Warwick Police Senior Sergeant Jamie Deacon said both businesses had been hit at the same time, with the offenders breaking open the businesses’ roller doors and entering the premise and stealing clothing.

“They’ve taken a selection of items of clothing, it would appear they are female, juvenile offenders,” he said.

The Rose City Shoppingworld thefts came as a precursor to the weekend’s crime spree, with multiple break-ins across the region, including a car being stolen from a Warwick address that was later located by police.

Offenders also struck a roadhouse in the region, kicking through a glass panel and taking a small quantity of food from the business before leaving.
