A fire has ravaged part of a property near the Queensland-NSW border, with investigators now treating the incident as suspicious.

It’s understood a fire began inside a garage at an address on Yeoman St, Boggabilla some time around 11pm on December 10.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said when fire and rescue crew arrived just after 11pm, they found the garage to be fully engulfed by flames which had caused the roof to collapse.

Vehicles and household items inside the garage were also found to be engulfed by flames.

The QFD spokesman said fire crews worked quickly and had the fire under control at around 11.30pm.

NSW Rural Fire Service has deemed the incident as suspicious and an investigation into the cause is ongoing.

NSW police and Queensland paramedics were also at the scene, however no injuries were reported.
