A much-loved member of the Vineyard Christian Church and Stanthorpe business community, Kylie Hindley has passed away from ovarian cancer.

Mrs Hindley was only 44 and leaves behind her husband, Russell and four children, Aarron, Naome, Mytchall and Mykaele.

The family are residents of Greenlands and have a long-standing involvement in the business community as owners of the business, John's Auto Electrical in Stanthorpe.

Mr Hindley has spent his working life in the business, training alongside his late father, John, who gave his name to the company.

Mrs Hindley also worked in the family business, doing administration and bookkeeping.

The family was also long-time members of the Vineyard Christian Church in Connor St, Stanthorpe.

Pastor Jeremy Greening said Mrs Hindley was "loved by everybody in the church” and was member of the women's group and helped in the kitchen at Sunday services.

"Everybody loved and appreciated her,” Mr Greening said.

"Our church is a family and when one member passes on, especially being so young, there is that shock element.

"Like any church, we believe they are going to a better place but that doesn't make it any easier for those left behind.”

Ovarian cancer has a high mortality rate, even among young women, and Mrs Hindley died soon after her diagnosis.

A Celebration of Life in honour of Kylie Hindley will be held at the Vineyard Christian Church on Tuesday, July 9 at 1.30pm.

The church is located at 85 Connor St, Stanthorpe. Donations to Ovarian Cancer Research are welcomed.
