An early start to the weekend call-outs saw emergency services respond to a two-vehicle crash on a major southwest Queensland highway.

It is understood that a car and a truck collided on the intersection of Biggs Rd and the Cunningham Highway at Oman Ama in the Goondiwindi region just before 10am on Friday.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said no entrapments had been reported.

Paramedics were still treating two patients at the scene, a woman in her 30s and an unknown man for minor injuries.

The QFD spokesman said the vehicles have been removed from the road and traffic had began flowing again on the highway at around 11am.
