Teen fighting for life after scooter crash at Slacks Creek

A teenage boy is in a critical condition in a Brisbane hospital after he was hit by a car while riding a scooter.

A teenager is fighting for his life after he was hit by a car while riding a scooter south of Brisbane on Sunday afternoon.

The boy was hit while travelling on the corner of Paradise Rd and Collard St at Slacks Creek about 2.30pm.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the teen was taken to the Queensland Children’s and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition with suspected head injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.

The road is expected to be closed for some time with diversions in place.
