A woman has been injured in a single-vehicle crash in Noosa.

Firefighters used cutting gear to rescue a woman from a car after she was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Tewantin.

Emergency crews were called to a crash at the intersection of McKinnon Dr and Noosa Banks Dr about 2.40am today, May 5.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said firefighters used cutting gear to rescue the woman who was “encapsulated” in the car.

He said the single crew took about 20 minutes to rescue the person.

Paramedics said one stable woman with a shoulder injury was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
