Noosa drivers have been terrified by a spate of rocks being thrown at cars travelling around the shire.
Acting Senior Sergeant Raymond Murray said police were notified someone was throwing rocks from the bridge/walkway at Noosa Heads.
They were called to the scene at 9.48pm on May 3 and made patrols but failed to locate anyone.
“No crime reports have been made and police appeal to anyone with further information or further relevant vision to contact police,” said Mr Murray.
Residents took to social media to share multiple experiences from the night as several cars were hit, with no injuries being reported.
Lisa Sheri Nielsen posted saying she had a large rock thrown at her vehicle.
“Wow just had a boulder thrown on my car from the overpass on Eenie Creek Rd that only missed the windscreen by centimetres,” Ms Neilsen said.
Laura Collins posted dashcam footage from when she was driving around Noosa Junction, clearly showing an object flying across the screen aimed at the hatchback in front of her vehicle.
“Heads up, a person(s) is hiding in the bushes and throwing big rocks at cars off the roundabout near Moto in Noosa Junction, one hit my car on the side and the car in front of us,” Ms Collins said.
“Several other cars were hit and pulled over.”
“It’s the Wild West out there,” said Ms Nielsen said.
