A woman in her 40s has had a bad start to the weekend after being bitten by a snake.

A woman has been taken to hospital after she was bitten by a snake.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said paramedics were called to a private residence in Kiel’s Mountain after the woman was bitten.

She said the woman, reportedly in her 40s, was taken to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition at 10.52am on Saturday.
It is unknown where the woman was bitten.
The species of the snake is also unknown.
